Love On The Spectrum S2 Drops Next Month On The ABC & I’m Rooting So Hard For Michael

Love on the Spectrum

Love on the Spectrum is returning to our screens for a second season next month. This news is like a warm, comforting hug on a freezing day (today in Melbourne).

Season 1 of the beautiful series first won hearts on the ABC in 2019, before it was swiftly catapulted into international stardom last year, thanks to Netflix.

The series follows a number of neurodiverse singles in Australia, as they set out on a quest to fall in love in the often confusing and complicated world of dating.

The new five-part season will continue to see sparks fly between singles who date both neurodiverse and neurotypical people, as well as explore heterosexuality, bisexuality, and pansexuality.

Beloved season 1 favourite Michael has returned for season 2, along with dinosaur-loving Mark and engaged couple Jimmy and Sharnae (!!!), who just seem so, so lovely. Jimmy popped the question on the show, making me ugly cry into my pillow.

Michael said he returned to the series because he is just simply not a fan of the single life.

“It’s lonely, it’s boring, and it’s also unfulfilling and it makes you feel like you lack a purpose,” Michael said.

“I can’t see myself without a wife,” he added, shaking his head. “There’s no other way for me.”

I am rooting so hard for Michael, tell ya what.

New singles joining the show include Kassandra and Jayden, who the ABC said represent both experienced and first-time daters, and Ronan and Teo, two young singles who are beyond excited to hit the dating scene.

Joining them is relationship expert Jodi Rogers.

Love on the Spectrum season 2 airs from Tuesday, 18 May at 8.30pm on ABC TV and iview, and we’ve just gotten a sneaky peek at the incoming season.

WEDDING? WEDDING? Are we going to watch Jimmy and Sharnae tie the knot?! I am ready to CRY.

Love on the Spectrum season 1 will also be available to watch on ABC iview come Tuesday, May 18. Alternatively, you can stream it now on Netflix.

If the streaming giant scoops up the rights to the second season, then here’s hoping we cop a lil’ cast update again to see how everyone’s doing.
