It's a good year to be a tech nerd. First, Snapchat's Evan Spiegel officially snapped up Miranda Kerr and now Reddit's cofounder Alexis Ohanian has closed up Serena William's love shop for business.

Serena announced her engagement to Columbian-native Alexis on none other than the platform that made his relatively unknown name famous, with a cute lil' cartoon of him proposing to her.

The thread is called "I said yes", because obviously you're not going to make an online announcement if you shut that shit down. The post was accompanied by an equally corny poem, reading:

"I came home
A little late
Someone had a bag packed for me
And a carriage awaited
Destination: Rome
To escort me to my very own "charming"
Back to where our stars first collided
And now it was full circle
At the same table we first met by chance
This time he made it not by chance
But by choice
Down on one knee
He said 4 words
And r/isaidyes
"

He replied saying she's made him "the happiest man on the planet". The pair only starting dating last year but had known each other for a while beforehand.

We're sure Serena will be asked her all about the engagement when she hits town for the Australian Open next month, which we'll be carefully listening to if we're not heavily distracted by the soothing voice of everyone's fave ginger, Jim Courier.

In other news, Ashley Greene also announced her engagement to Aussie Paul Khory today with a Insta video too disgustingly romantic for us to cover in a congratulatory manner. Seriously, it's repulsive, or like cute, if you're into love and all'a that.

Yay for love.
