Allow me to preface this story by saying that there's no way to verify its authenticity: you either believe it, or you don't.

Mikki Kendall, a 'Murican writer and self-proclaimed "occasional feminist" has sent Twitter into a spin with a thread that describes in graphic detail the time an elderly woman she sat next to on a bus years ago allegedly confessed to murdering her abusive husband back in the day.

Their conversation started innocently enough, as they usually do on public transport: kids, the weather, that kind of thing. Then, MURDER.

Please just read it.
And that's that. End of story.

At best it's an entirely bizarre encounter you should definitely tell your friends about, and at worst a very tall tale that's destined to become the stuff of Internet legend - and that you should definitely tell your friends about.
