LEGO maniacs, this one’s for you: the phenomenally successful toy building block company has teased the release of a special edition set, inspired by – wait for it – Friends.
Yah-huh, according to the adorable animation LEGO dropped on Twitter, we can look forward to little plastic figurines of Ross, Rachel, Joey, Phoebe, Monica and Chandler to set upon the iconic orange couch and leave somewhere to collect dust, all in honour of the legendary TV show’s 25th anniversary (it premiered September 22, 1994 – crikey I’m old).
I’m not going to lie. I’m very deeply into it.
Some questions, though. Will the LEGO set come with the locations made famous by the 90s sitcom? Monica and Rachel’s implausibly huge, purple apartment? Joey and Chandler’s similarly large but much uglier bachelor pad? What about Central Perk?!
And will we just get the main six, or do we get the best of the supporting cast too? Gunther? Phoebe’s twin, Ursula? Janice? The Duck and the Chick?
Honestly this could go many ways, and I’m pretty sure all of them will be good.
Unsurprisingly, the LEGO announcement has gone absolutely berko, with more than 176,000 views on the video since just yesterday, and more than a thousand replies – most of them to the tune of I WANT THIS VERY BADLY INDEED.
The one with LEGO bricks 😉 Coming soon 🙌🏼 pic.twitter.com/Zb8T1AQXVY
