Kiernan Shipka Leads An All-Star Cast In Netflix’s John Green Adaptation

Kiernan Shipka

In news that has weirdly not happened before, Netflix is adapting John Green‘s Let It Snow co-written by Lauren Myracle and Maureen Johnson.

Let It Snow brings you three holiday romances, interconnected for the ultimate magical vibes. The story kicks off with a terrible storm on Christmas Eve, one that buries the residents of Gracetown under a whole heap of snow. One girl leaves her stranded train to brave the storm… and meets a stranger, three friends compete in a race to the Waffle House, and another girl faces some truths… and a couple of teacup pigs.

And with this being a young adult novel, one can only expect the ultimate young adult cast and boy, did Netflix deliver.

The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina‘s Kiernan Shipka leads the cast made up of Shameik Moore (Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse)YouTube superstar Anna Akana, Jacob Batlon (Spider-Man: Homecoming), Isabela Moner (Instant Family), Odeya Rush (Dumplin’), and our very own Aussie actors Mitchell Hope from The Descendants and Liv Hewson, currently known as Abby Hammond from Netflix’s Santa Clarita Diet series.

Yeah look, not a bad bunch of people.

There’s yet to be an official release date but it sure does sound like we can expect this flick in the festive season. And, since we’re on the subject, there’s another Christmas romcom on the way that we all must watch.

Last Christmas, starring Game of ThronesEmilia Clarke, Crazy Rich Asians‘ Henry Golding and Michelle Yeoh, and Emma Thompson, is set for release this November. The film is inspired by the Wham! classic and tells the story of Kate (Clarke), a woman who works as an elf in a year-round Christmas shop in London. Like the majority of us, Kate has made a couple of bad decisions in her past so when handsome man Tom (Golding) walks into her life, she thinks he’s just too good to be true.

A Simple Favor director Paul Feig helms the film from a script co-written by Thompson and Bryony Kimmings.

Earlier today, Golding shared our first look at Kate and Tom.
