During her Enigma show on Saturday, Lady Gaga tore into the Trump administration, particularly Vice President Mike Pence after it was revealed his wife, Karen Pence, had returned to work at a Christian school that bans LGBTQ+ students and teachers.

Pence defended his wife’s choice to teach at the school and was offended “to see major news organisations attacking Christian education.”
At Gaga’s show, the artist stopped mid-performance of ‘Million Reasons’ to ask if the “fucking president of the United States could please put our government back in business.”
“There are people who live paycheck to paycheck and need their money.”
“And to Mike Pence,” she continued. “Who thinks it’s acceptable that his wife works at a school that bans LGBTQ, you are wrong.”
“You say we should not discriminate against Christianity, you are the worst representation of what it means to be a Christian. I am a Christian woman and what I do know about Christianity is that we bare no prejudices, everybody is welcome.”
“So you can take all that disgrace, Mr Pence, and you can look yourself in the mirror and you’ll find it right there.”
“Okay, I’m sorry. I got upset for a second,” Gaga said before continuing to sing, adding, “So, I’m just going to pray for Michelle [Obama] or Joe Biden.”

Gaga joins the ever-growing list of celebrities who have used their platforms to publicly denounce the Trump administration. It was only this past weekend when Cardi B posted a video on her Instagram in which she criticised Trump for not putting an end to the government shutdown.
