Since Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger took us all by surprise with the announcement that they plan to get hitched, the world has been fixated on pretty much every detail of their upcoming wedding.
Earlier this week, friends of the couple revealed that they are likely looking at a short engagement, with Katherine talking about a religious wedding at some point in the Spring of this year.
Speaking with E! News this week, another source close to the couple revealed that Chris Pratt proposed with a five-carat diamond, and that the wedding is likely to be a big blowout celebration.
“There will be no expense spared,” the source said, adding that planning and preparation are well underway and that everyone involved “wants to give Katherine the perfect day.”
Arnold Schwarzenegger would definitely be an intimidating figure to have as a stepdad, but he and ex-wife Maria Shriver, who divorced in 2011, are reportedly happy at their daughter’s choice.
“Katherine definitely found her Prince Charming,” another source close to the couple told E! “[Her family] are over the moon that he proposed and that they are taking this next step.”
The soon-to-be in-laws were spotted recently having dinner together at a restaurant in Burbank, and it seems to have gone well, with Pratt’s son Jack seen hugging Shriver outside the restaurant.
Chris Pratt revealed in an Instagram video last week that he was in the process of moving house – it now appears that he and Schwarzenegger have moved to a house in West LA, to be close to Anna Faris.
“Due to their divorce settlement, they can’t be too far from one another,” another source told Entertainment Tonight, “so [their son] is near both parents.”
Pratt announced his engagement in an Instagram post this week, captioning it: “Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes!”
